Position Summary
The Director of the Office of Medical Education provides strategic leadership in the planning, enhancement, and organization of medical education programs. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the continuous improvement, effective expansion, and long-term sustainability of educational offerings within the College of Medicine. The director ensures alignment with accreditation standards, institutional goals, and the evolving landscape of medical education.

Required Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated knowledge of LCME accreditation standards and processes.

Keen analytical skills, strong problem solving skills, and excellent written and verbal skills.

Strong base in a variety of different types of educational technological tools.

Experience working collaboratively with faculty in higher education; Ability to communicate effectively and work diplomatically with departments across campus to achieve a common goal; Strong conflict resolution skills.

Knowledge of current educational & educational technology practices, adult pedagogy, emerging trends and student-centered learning; Instructional design experience.

Experience with web conferencing, lecture capture, graphics software, and mobile applications; experience developing various e-learning and using web-based e-learning/e-teaching tools available to the academic community. N-95 fit testing.
