Position Details:
Patient Population: Pediatric inpatient unit (7 beds), newborn nursery shared coverage
Setting: Hospital - Mohawk Valley Health System Wynn Hospital, Utica, NY
Responsibilities: Coverage of inpatient pediatric unit, emergency department consultations, shared coverage of newborn nursery with neonatology service, education of medical students and family medicine residents. No delivery attendance or NICU coverage.
Required Procedures: Pediatric hospitalist procedures and consultations as per service scope
EMR System: Not specified
Support Staff: Pediatric-trained speech, occupational, physical therapists; pediatric-certified echocardiographers; lactation consultants; neonatology consults available in house
Days Per Month: Not specified
On-Call/Weekends: Week on/week off schedule; no on-call required

Submission Requirements:

• Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Pediatrics REQUIRED

• New York State Medical License (or willingness to obtain) REQUIRED

• Visa status (J1/H1B) REQUIRED (Note in submission if visa support is needed)
